Wester Ross is a birdwatchers paradise. On the coast there are thousands of seabirds and inland you can watch mighty eagles and hundreds of woodland and moorland species too numerous to name.
On land, there are many species of mammal; red deer, pine martens, badgers, mountain hares, and if you are incredibly lucky you might even see a wildcat. On top of that there are the smaller but no less interesting species of amphibians and insects.
Marine wildlife is abundant, with whales, dolphins and basking sharks all regularly seen, and seals and otters can be spotted around the coastline.
